Arts Unfold produces art and design projects in Canadian and European communities to foster greater understandings of social and environmental conditions. It works with community leaders and members to develop ideas that connect to their aspirations, concerns, and exploratory interests. In developing, implementing and facilitating projects, Arts Unfold works to incorporate inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability.
Arts Unfold produces art residencies, collaborative design-making events, and multi-disciplinary exhibitions. Projects have included: coordinating art residencies at Artscape Gibraltar Point (Toronto Island, Canada), which brings in professional artists as Facilitators; producing and facilitating Naked State art residency at Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park (just north of Toronto, Canada), whereby the artists and Facilitator live as *naturists (in the nude) within the Bare Oaks naturist community; and designing and facilitating a co-created vision statement for a healthy Toronto waterfront with 80 citizens. Future projects include an art residency on the theme of “water,” to occur on the island of Pico, Azores in 2017.
